Activities and Trips

The staff at the Alternatif Atlantis will be pleased to arrange any trips and outings for you and your party. Some of the activities that are available are:
 

Day trip to Xanthos and Saklikent
Xanthos was once the capital of ancient Lycia and boasts what is arguable some of the most outstanding examples of Lycian architecture in the region.
Saklikent is a stunning natural gorge, which is the source of the Xanthos river. Walk through the canyon, or take a dinghy ride through the rapids, and then have a restful meal beside the beautiful shallows.

Diving
Diving trips can be arranged for both beginners and more experienced divers. Book in advance, and you can even complete your PADI diving certificate if you wish.

Horse Riding
One of the best ways to view the stunning 18-mile long Patara beach is to take an early morning horse ride through the olive groves and up onto the almost surreal sand dunes, and along the beach. Lunch is provided, and all standards are welcome. We can't recommend this trip highly enough.

Patara Beach
Patara is a delghtful little village about half an hour's taxi ride from Kalkan. The world-famous beach is 18 miles long, and is a conservation area due to the turtles that nest in the protected areas along it. You can spend your day on the beach, or wander around the extremely pretty village, where there are plenty of charming little restaurants to choose from.

Kekova
The sunken city of Kekova is best viewed from the comfort of a glass-bottomed boat. This is a fun day out, with swiming, snorkelling and great food.
